We Have Microblading: Beautifying Your Eyebrows

Microblading for better and beautiful eyebrows is here, and women are rushing to the Synergy Spa of The Guyer Institute to have this procedure done.

Eyebrow microblading is hot these days at the Synergy Spa. We are so pleased to have with us Jelena Strausser, the skilled licensed aesthetician behind the eyebrow microblading procedure for our clients.

Jelena joins with 15 years of experience in the field. She has trained under some of the best for this procedure in Los Angeles and Toronto.

“I am so excited about teaming up with The Synergy Spa to do this very hot, new to Indiana treatment,” Jelena said. “I see the results, the enthusiasm and satisfaction, in my patients. They leave feeling elated.”

Microblading is a highly innovative method of doing 3D hair stroking that begins with fine drawing on the skin’s surface with a specially designed tool, using all-natural color pigment.

The advanced brow “embroidery” technique utilizes a hyper-precise tool with tiny needles to deposit dye into the dermal second layer of the skin to create thin, hair-like marks.

This embroidery and careful pigmenting serves to fill in sparse areas to create a fuller, more rejuvenated look. Eyebrow microblading mimics the natural waves and arches in the finished look.

Put simply, microblading is a state-of-the-art treatment to fully reconstruct, define, cover gaps, or fill in over-plucked brows.

And the Synergy Spa of The Guyer Institute now has one of the country’s premier aestheticians helping women achieve fantastic results.

Denise Kaler, CEO of the Synergy Spa, is one of them. “I am so happy with the results, “ Kaler said. “It’s led to a dramatic decrease in the time it takes to complete my make-up routine. My brows now require no penciling in areas that were sparse or spotty, and they’re perfect!”

With every client, Jelena is a perfectionist from the first moment to the last. The treatment takes about two hours, and it’s recommended that women return in about six weeks time for a touch-up.

The amazing brows are semi-permanent, and generally can be expected to remain the way they look after the treatment for up to two years.

Before the microblading begins, a topical numbing cream is applied to the area to minimize discomfort, usually followed by a liquid anesthetic. Some clients may feel a slight discomfort or a sense of light scratching, but feeling any pain is rare.

Eyebrow microblading at the Synergy Spa of The Guyer Institute is low-maintenance, nearly no-maintenance, giving women more flexibility in the early morning hours, and more confidence that their eyes look great day and night.

Typically, you can take a selfie shortly after the procedure that captures the wonderful new look, and send it to family and friends.

Stellar results are usually immediate.

When a treatment is in hot demand, that’s because women see that it works. Contact the Synergy Spa at 317-580-1772 to schedule microblading, so you can have perfect brows!

Food Allergy And Sensitivity Testing Tied To Better Health

Food allergies and sensitivities can frequently aggravate health problems and often those affected may not realize their health may improve substantially with some relatively simple dietary modifications. Some estimates suggest that these reactions may affect up to 20% of the population.

At The Guyer Institute and Synergy Spa we have come to appreciate the importance of food allergy testing, evaluation and treatment.

We go beyond straightforward skin prick blood testing for reactions to foods such as peanuts or dairy. These classic IgE immune tests are valuable for immediate or acute allergic reactions, but may not provide a complete diagnostic for delayed type hypersensitivity that may be mediated by the IgG immune system subclass.

Many experts believe that close to 80% of people with marked food sensitivity problems deal with delayed symptoms that stem from a subset of the immune system called IgG.

These food sensitivities can take 72 hours to develop and have been associated with ongoing fatigue, mental focusing difficulties, attention deficit disorder, chronic irritable bowel syndrome, chronic infections and inflammation, joint pain, and even hormone imbalances.

At The Guyer Institute, we frequently work with Alletess Labs and their state-of-the-art regimens to get patients tested for reactions to as many as 96 different common foods. It is critical to know the full range of possibilities in order to rule out those not involved in negative health consequences.

guyer-pics-food-allergies-5“It is amazing just how prevalent significant food sensitivity is in the general population,” said Dale Guyer, MD, founder of The Guyer Institute and Synergy Spa. “There is no one size fits all allergy problem or test – we see remarkable differences among people based on  body chemistry, stress levels, and organic responses that you can’t identify until you remove that food from the diet.”

Guyer says that variations of foods within dairy, eggs, glutens, cheeses, soy and some fruits can cause a sharp sensitivities that contribute to serious conditions.

Testing we call for can lead our experts to recommend changes in diet – some subtle, some significant – that may cause a decrease in headaches and migraines, weight loss, enhanced metabolism, enhanced functioning of the immune system, less GI disturbance, diminished irritable bowel syndrome, a decrease in pain, and improved neuro-cognitive function.

“Knowledge is power, “ Guyer says. “The studies we generate for patients give us ammunition to stimulate better health and quality of life.”

The Guyer Institute is also on the forefront of using herbal or natural antihistamine remedies for immediate allergic responses.

We utilize treatments that our expertise and experience tell us are most likely to work. Food allergies and sensitivities can inflict a damaging toll, and we’re here to help tackle these health effects with you.

Cool Event on CoolSculpting® Boosts Interest and Visits

Food, fellowship and fat freezing: what a fun combination! On September 13th, at Moyer Fine Jewelers in Carmel, more than 75 people gathered to learn about CoolSculpting®, talk about CoolSculpting®, and yes, even watch CoolSculpting® — all done by Synergy Spa of The Guyer Institute!

The “Cool” event, which Synergy Spa offers quarterly, provided attendees with delicious food from Kona Grill, fine wine, and the chance to look at the latest jewelry fashions, as well as a first-hand look at somebody actually having CoolSculpting® done.

“There’s no substitute for a gathering where everyone’s interested in the same thing,” says Denise Kaler, CEO of Synergy Spa of The Guyer Institute. “All the people there were seeking information on self-improvement. It was a success on all fronts.”

CoolSculpting® is eye-opening and exciting for those who’ve never done it. For this wonderful event, we decided to have our “model,” Buffy Phyne, receive some CoolSculpting® right there in the Moyer showroom.

Women and men watched and were able to ask what Buffy was experiencing during the procedure, and how it felt. They viewed the applicator being placed onto Buffy and then removed after an hour to see the “fat” that was treated.

img_6908

It’s amazing what CoolSculpting® can do, and the audience could plainly see exactly what was involved. Buffy cannot wait to see what her final result will be in 8-12 weeks!

So what is CoolSculpting® at the Synergy Spa of the Guyer Institute? It’s a fat freezing procedure FDA-cleared for eight body and face areas. It can lead to 25% percent less fat on your abdomen, thighs, arms, buttocks, even under your chin.

The results are measurable. Fatty deposits are reduced painlessly and with virtually no downtime.

A CoolSculpting® practitioner for Synergy Spa of The Guyer Institute uses a carefully engineered device with vacuum technology to isolate the bulging area and apply the freezing effects. Synergy Spa is a CoolScupting® certified practice, and all the technicians have been certified. They utilize advanced training protocols, and deliver the best possible results.

Each treatment area takes only about an hour. CoolSculpting® freezes the fat, and within one to three months the affected fat cells can be eliminated through the normal metabolic process.

CoolSculpting® boosts appearance, confidence and also encourages patients to take off more inches through exercise and improved eating habits.

For a complimentary consultation, call 317-580-1SPA (1772).

And thank you again to all our attendees at the Synergy Spa’s “Cool” event and to Moyer Fine Jewelers for the great support!
